A Century of Struggle for Kurdish Human rights in Eastern Kurdistan has been answered by killings, massacres and assassinations: The battle is still going on:
- Ismael Aga Shakak "Simko" was killed by the Iranian army when his revolt
for Kurdish autonomy state was supressed in 1930.
- Qazí Muhemed "Péshwa" announced formation of the Kurdistan Republic in Mehabad on 22 Jan 1946. The Democratic Republic of Kurdistan was occupied by Iranian army and all officers of the state were hanged. The leader of the Republic was hanged in 30 March 1947.
- The newly established Islamic Republic of Iran broke all promises and started a new war in Eastern Kurdistan in the summer of 1979. Young Kurds were arrested and executed without trial. The picture is from the front page of The New York Times, 29 Aug 1979.
- Executions and massacrers were the reply of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the people of Eastern Kurdistan. The new regime used the same repressive policies as the old state powers in Iran. This execution scene took place in Eastern Kurdistan in summer 1979. Even those who were injured and unable to stand were brutally slain. - The leader of Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (DPIK) Dr. A. Qasimlú and two of his collogue were brutally murdered during "peace" negotiations with envoys of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 13 July 1989, in Vienna/Austria. The murderers held Iranian diplomatic passports and were allowed by Austrian authorities to fly back to Iran.
- Dr. M. S. Sherefqendí (1938-1992) the successor of the assassinated leader of Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (DPIK) Dr. A. Qasimlú, was killed with two other of his companions in the Mikonos restaurant in Berlin / Germany in September 17, 1992.
